Just remove either the top or bottom (up to you) shock mount and both springs should easily be removed.
Edit, beaten to it.![]()

Not today but finally registered my gti last week!
Was happy to fit a new 51" plasma in the back, still in the box.
Surprised how she goes, now just have to sort out my neg camber on the front right wheel.
(Thought it could be adjusted from the top strut nut ???)
Gearing seems high, compared to what I've been used to lately but a joy to drive all the same.
Might actually raise her a little but then again, yet to check if I can soften the KW's with the adjusting knob to settle the harshness a little.
Then again I am rolling on 18s.
Mk IV Golf GTI - BMP - GIAC chip, R32 wheels, KW coilovers, rear swaybar.

couple of pics to show fitment.
I'm pretty happy to say the least, perfect on the front. rears could've gone another 5mm out but oh well, happy none the less.
weight of the wheel and tyre combo comes in at 20kg. much better than the 25-26kg I had with the TT wheels and almost worn tyres.

Hey dylan. Final et of 25 front and rear. 225/40/18 tyres. Had some problems with the bolts I bought being to bloody long so I we had to machine them down to a 22mm thread length which worked perfectly.
