What size tyres are you running 225/35/19? Cheers J

Lots of stories, but in the end, they can only refuse insurance if the modification contributed to the accident and was found to be illegal or not up to standard.

They may refuse to replace your $5000 wheels with a new set of $5000 wheels if you don't specifically list them (so instead you get a set of stockers), but refusing to pay up when you have a crash just because you had different wheels to stock (again, as long as road legal), wouldn't get them very far.
    Nothing to see here...

They're 235/35's. No stretch to them, just a normal fitting tyre for everyday driving. 225's would prob look nice though

Fitted aero wipers this morning, just in time for the rain on my way to work.

I'll take some pics tomorrow. The ignition control modul is zip-tied up onto a bracket on the firewall that had nothing on it. Thinking of getting the rubber mount from the airbox and supergluing it to the firewall so you can just mount it into that. It does make a slightly louder sucking noise and you get the pssh at gear change, but it's not loud (like my friend's evo with a pod) which is how I wanted it.

OH you don't really want an Evo Pod noise do you ? It's so loud and 'look at me !!', which matches the Evo image. I much prefer the subtle woosh the BMC gives, has more of the 'oh, what was that car' feel too it. Matching the GTI's understated looks etc.

if you take out the brackets, he says "but it's not loud, which is how i wanted it"
at least that's how i interpreted.

just remember to try and put the ECM somewhere it will dissipate heat, so either on some metal that does not get heated by the engine, or somewhere where there is airflow.

Haha, NO I DON'T WANT EVO POD SOUND!!! I much prefer the low sucking noise of the CDA, you wouldn't really notice it unless you knew what to listen for which is perfect! My friends evo pod was as loud as the exhaust, not to my taste imo and is why I went CDA instead of a neuspeed pod on stick type set up. The ECM is 'securely' in place atm but yeah I am thinking of other ideas. We did decide to leave the heatsink on and it's not to close to any hot surfaces, should be ok for now. Here's some pics
