They didn't! I haven't even done a panic stop yet.
I'm going the long way to work tomorrow

Stage 2+ Intercooler Carbon Intake Downpipe Swaybar DV+ Remsa.
A coil went last night so was running on 4 cylinders. Just got a replacement coil and swapped the old one out - good as new
2nd one since I bought the car, so I think I'll replace the other 3....now to find somewhere that sells v5 coils for cheaper than $78!!
Get them from ECS Tuning in the States.
1st place I checked - unfortuantly the V5 doesnt exist in the states and the part numbers appear to be different for the V6 & V5, so I'm a little unsure if I can use these ones?
The V5 coil has this part number: 022905100A
The V6 coil has this part number: 022905100D or K
I did a search for the v5 part number and the ECS site sent me to this page - http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/022905100A/ES475012/
Which tells you the product is no longer available and sends you to the v6 coil page:
http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...Coil/ES259810/
It looks exaclty the same as what I have, but I'm not sure if its worth the risk. These are $30 and there are $19 ones too. Imparts are asking $70 and they are in stock.
Anyone have any idea if the V6 ones will cause me any issues? Should I just save myself the hassle and buy local?
[EDIT] OH hang on.....just checked the part number on the NEW coil I've put in and it is in fact 022905100N....so the same as the V6 one!!!
now which one do I get?
$19 but on backorder - http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...Coil/ES518030/
$33 Bremi (the one I pulled out is Bremi so I assume this is OEM?) - http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...Coil/ES259810/
$51 Bremi - http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...oil/ES1843944/
NFI what the difference would be?
