Also don't disregard the KW V1's. If you're not going to track the car or don't have suspension setup experience/knowledge then you'd be hard pressed to set your suspension up for a better handling/performance/safety combo than the engineers at KW have for the V1's.

Last wheel alignment I had done, Chris at Inline Suspension commented after a test drive that, given the height of my car, he was impressed that the ride was far better sorted than most other cars he gets in there, and he sees a lot.

    As requested,

Took a quick pic today with my crappy iphone camera.

Was at Canberra's Deep Space Centre today.

16mm spacers on the rear with the stock 18" Aristos.

And another snap with a pretty small antenna. LOL!

If youre still interested in bilstein perhaps have a chat to quadrant in melbourne. They have been importing/bilstein products for a long long time. I had them rebuild my billies not so long ago.

But yeah KWs seem to be the flavour of the month. Has anyone sorted out having them rebuilt locally yet?

The gentleman I spoke to at East Coast yesterday mentioned that this is coming , should be within 12 monthd - but that they can do some work themselves already (he mentioned they repaired a bent KW coilover for a Porsche customer recently).

I'd hope that I wouldn't need a rebuild within that period of time!
    Nothing to see here...

Today I picked up the car from Mike Weber after he had installed the following new bits and bobs

Sachs Performance Clutch kit (pressure plate and clutch disc with organic special facings)

    Clutch Slave Cylinder

    Front Peloquin Differential

    Rear Peloquin Differential

Close Ratio Gear set 4th to 6th gears

Orange Haldex Controller (installed before the diffs and clutch to compare to the blue controller that was in it already)

    Performance Suspension Bushes

Car was also prepared for the upcoming Australian Tarmac Challenge from Sydney to Tweed heads starting September 3rd at Eastern Creek and finishing at the WRC super special stage in Murwillumbah NSW on the Saturday,

    including

New Motul RB 600 brake fluid
    Oil and Filter change
    New NKG plugs
    Haldex Oil and Filter
    Redline Full Synth Diff Oil
    Redline Full Synth Gear Oil
New Wiper Blades Front and Rear
Overall pre event inspection of pads, bushes, etc etc etc.

Next week is a full alignment, corner weighting and suspension setup at Leda Suspension

Followed by 4 brand new sticky Toyo Proxes R888 tyres.

A few pics that Michael took when he had the gearbox out.

    Cheers Al

Just got the .:R washed, polished, vac'ed and pretty much everything else for virtually nothing. Gotta love going to a deserted car wash place at 4pm on Friday when they are desperate to upsell...

Well the sports exhaust i had put on the bora 2 or so years ago has been rattling lately so it has been replaced with a new stainlees one today. The rattling muffler ended up been faulty. I have noticed quite a different with the new as it sounds a lot more throatier now Not as loud as the old one but happier

I changed my thermostat this morning using this howto:
    http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?p=16925102

I managed to do it with removing the dipstick though. Our engines seem to have less stuff in the way compared to the one in the howto as well.

My old thermostat was stuck in there pretty solidly, and once i got it out it seems that it was stuck because of a little bit of rust on the back of it. My thermostat and housing had a little bit of brown stuff coated on them too.
