Been doing some thinking about my bora. That awd system is amazing on the road and track so it's got me thinking about the idea of turning her into a amateur track car.

Anyone able to tell me what VAG group engines would mate up to the gearbox and fit in the bay?

If it goes track car then I won't be limited electronically as I can bypass immobilisers and don't need any of the cabin internals to work.

4 cylinder engines wont bolt to the gear box AFAIK. So that's a limitation. Unless you swap in an S3 gearbox?

Yeah I figured the gearbox is always going to be a limitation. Would've been great to chuck in the 1.8T and upgrade some of the turbo bits - so many aftermarket parts are available for that engine.

Audi S3's are an option I suppose, but then I'd probably just be better off buying an S3 Lol

What up. What's everyone been upto in their golfs lately.

My passenger side window fell into the door haha.

    Installed a boost gauge.

Quite happy with the turbosmart, good value at $55. Seems to be accurate.

Replaced my forge copy diverter with a 710n, such an incredible difference. Must have been leaking big time. Can't be bothered servicing it.

Installed a bora steering wheel and vents. Not too keen on tackling the wiring for the vent lights, does anyone have any tricks for it?

I just cut the plugs and soldered wire to them and ran the power and earth wires to under the dash.
