worst thing is it has mad commo steeze with the stock suspension in, drop plates for free lows and camber in the back.
arms in the front for wide track. I felt ill.
Failed a couple of nice easy things at roadworthy, one was a bit un expected and awkward but will sort it anyway

Has anyone changed the instrument panel on their mk4 golf? Are there any restrictions or things I should know beforehand?
I can see the Manual 1.6L looks identical to the GTI 1.8L Instrument Cluster. However, the Auto has gears displayed at the bottom. Are the Manual and GTI the same internally?
Appreciate everyone's input.

the cluster talks to the ECU as it is part of the immobilisation system in the car.

I am pretty sure there'll be a dead car if you swap the cluster. Not sure it could be coded to work.

With a heavy heart I said goodbye to my beloved Gunter today.
Many happy memories and some rather downright frustrating times also.
He is off to a good home with no less than 3 other Golfs and some misc VW models to keep him company.
