surprisingly easy, i mean i was switching between two guides and had to work some things out for my self. But if i where to do it again, i could have the box out in 2-3 hours (without a hoist).

the main things that need to come out are drive shafts, slave cylinder, linkages, selector, starter, various sensors.

very easy cars to work on

    EDIT:

this is what the stock luk 1.8t clutch looks like after 150,000k's

I know they are GTI knock offs but still I think they look okay.

New 225 /45 Pirelli's, now shes holding on like a homeless man in a hurricane.

Also new Eibach pro spring kit and Bilstein strut, new upper strut mounts and bearings, front poly say bar brushes and steering tie rods.

Lets just say she drives pretty good.

Oh and I forgot, a new dip stick!

All the suspension work as recommended and done by Jmac, a great job.

Mate, I bit the bullet and bought OEM Mk6 (1K8 943 021 C) ones. They're plug and play. Get them off ebay and they not as expensive as you'd think. All up was $67 including postage. The stealers here want $200 or something ridiculous like that.

OEM ftw as they only have 2 LEDs in each housing, unlike the cheapies that contain 26 million LEDs and illuminate 2 meters of asphalt behind you. I really can't stand that **** I don't have pics yet as they're still in the post.

That's what mine looked like, it was so painful driving around like that for a couple of months. SO PAINFUL. I could barely accelerate up hills.
