Hi, I'm planning on changing my oil, filter, fuel filter & air filter today as I always do when I buy something new, just a quick question. The book says I need a 5w-30 engine oil?? Isn't that a bit thin? I've got a v6 bora 4mo..

fitted Dunlop Sport Maxx RT's and am amazed at the ride quality. Superior to both the Pilot Sports and Turanzas I had No opportunity for wet weather testing yet.

That'll be fine if it says so, but going thicker wouldn't harm it I believe

Had a really bad day with Laura today.

Started out and was going great with a track day at Winton raceway. Loved how she performed even with 38 degree track weather. Great fun.

Then the day ended badly. Very badly.
Broken sump 200kms from home kind of badly.
Thank goodness for some awesome people who I went to the track day with. All zipped off to the nearest town to find me a trailer and some food.

We ended up hiring a car trailer and one of the guys towed my car back home. Long afternoon but at least she's safe.

    All because of this fuccker:

And what did the useless road authority known as Vicroads do to warn drivers of a very dangerous stretch of road? Put out "Rough Surface ahead" signs 3m before the himalayian valley sitting in the middle of the road. No speed limits, no blocking off road, just a sign before the crest and boom, go over the hill at 110kms (speed limit) and you have 0 time to react.

I had two cars pull over to check thier cars well. Trucks were servicing and near jack kniffeing to clear the sunken road section.

    Discraceful.

Anyone know the cost for a new 2.8L V6 Oil pal? And where to get one?
There is some online but all overseas suppliers which would cost heaps to import.
