You didn't get busted by old mate Pettett did you?
Nar its at vicroads, I might give it a crack early in the week and see what happens.

Nar thought it was to start with. Guy was nice/professional about it all, if more HWY patrol were like him they would have much more respect I think.

too low and wheels poking out the guards was what he verbally got me for.
defect states car needs to be 100mm ground clearance, and have tyres to match the placard. no mention of the wheels on it

Hopefully you'll get someone who knows the laws properly at Vicroads. When I did my manual conversion on my last car and asked to have the rego changed, I had three different people give me three different answers -_-

How badly are your wheels sticking out? Mine stick out maybe half an inch. I could be next to face the chop :/

Clearance wise you must have 100mm at the lowest point of the car and suspension travel can't be reduced by more than 1/3rd either. Nfi how you count that though.

Is this your first time? .....(getting defected that is >.>)

this cop knew the rules, he was even giving his partner a few lessons.
at the time rear was maybe 1/2" out, fronts was around 1/2-3/4". yeah ill defiantly be going to wheels that are in line with the arches at ride height and tucked for parking for the next 9months or so til im finished at school.

yeah 100mm is all they really check. they estimated 60mm to my subframe and 70mm at the rear when they checked, quiet surprised it was even that low at the time.

nar as leighaus said, iv been done before. about 2.5years ago on my way from bairnsdale to melbourne for SEDF. height, wheels outside the guards, brake light out.

Was actually higher then usual. Had cm + wheel gap all round.
He just thought I was on springs, so I'd rather keep it that way

So on the positive side, your wheel addiction gets some lovin'

    Like it matey.

Been thinking about it for some time. I want to do something similar, but unfact want to do the entire ( wood ) trim, cause it looks ****.

    Q. How easy would it be to apply to the door handle insert, and the climatatronic surround , ?

Can you recommend a supplier of good quality trim?

    Cheers m8
