I've always wondered about this!! There are that many crazy mods going around , why have I never heard of anyone doing a hub swap to 5x112? Or disc rotors that are thicker in the centre, to sneakily avoid using spacers, looking quite legal!?

Ambient temp was 30deg from lunch onwards, i could only cringe to think how hot the stock intercooler was during sessions.

Bang for buck the gt86/brz in the hands of a skilled driver was consistently getting 1:11-1:12. They were stock with hankook rs3 tyres? Was amazing.

Looking forward to going back and cracking the 1:20..
Sounds like a blast mate, I've never been to a track day, I reckon it'd be great!

ok, so I've been waiting for days to see what's happening with my Shannons insurance claim, just some car park dings that have been annoying me for ages, and they've come back saying that they'll only cover half under 1 claim, and the other bit of damage on the rear wheel arch would have to be another claim, or get the spraypainters to do it as an extra out of your pocket.

So the spraypainters/panel beaters got back to me this morning, and I'm now looking at:

    1. Around $1500+ and the $550 excess, which seems to be WAY more than he originally quoted me to include rub strips, front valance, detail etc, total: $2050+
    or
    2. 2 x Claims with Shannons insurance, total $1100, just not sure how I'm then viewed as a customer..

Any advice out there? Other recommended bodyshops in Sydney?

Been to wakefield a few times, only in my old car though...

I tried (unsuccessfully) to find some action shots...

Looking forward to taking the Bozza with some semi's.

Don't over spec the core, the turbo will take ages to fill it. Same with the piping, "big" might be able to move vast amounts of air but again will induce lag as the wheezy turbo catches up.

60mm is plenty, my S3 is 63mm all round and I reckon that's just crept over the line. 51mm on the Polo and that's perfect for my Phase 2.

My S3 install partly based around this thread.

    'Wellycooler' fitting

I already had the core from my old A3. Made in Australia by ADRADS.

    Light reading

Hi guys, just digging up Gavin's comment from earlier this year in terms of inter-coolers.

Would this welly cooler be too big for my chipped k03?

At the last track day i attended, I felt the car was lacking power on full throttle. I thought it might be the SMIC being completely heat soaked to the extreme. I didnt log the temps unfortunately..

Probably doesn't need to be quite that big. Could be laggy due to the volume the turbo has to fill up.

Awesome! Is it a GTST with GTR kit? Would have been a great drive around the track. How much power were you making? and what times were you lapping in?

    Nono, full GTR.

Approx 400kw (flywheel.) No idea on Wakefield times, but best 1/4 was a 12.3.

More pics of that and my other (old ) cars here.

EDIT: Not sure why my pics are blurry
