Yes you can't eliminate all the gap, mines about 1 finger atm. Doin my mounts soon to reduce the gap.

I have zero gap with the powerflex mounts. If you replaced with OEM rubber, then I give it 6-12 months and the gap will have increased.

This. I was pleased visually by the powerflex mounts in stus wagon. looks better than stock how they sit plus the cap.
my 32 bushes sit pretty tight, like 1mm as you said. its taken a few years for them to start collapsing.

looking good Lito. steering should be much nicer with all the firm/solid bushes and 32 spindles.
are you using a 32 steering rack too?
