I'm not 100% sold on them yet Anthony - might require a bit of fiddling to get the intensity even all the way round, which means removing the front bumper and the lights again. Might save that up for a day when I'm running the extra wires for the fogs etc.

Fixed the dreaded glovebox on the same day before I went away.

Also decided to tidy up my wiring retrofits ... (need to source some OEM cloth tape)

Oh, and fit new horns to give the car the "parp" it deserves. (pics to come when I get the bumper off again)

Saw your build thread and I'm thinking it's probably time for a build thread myself now as I keep adding things to my list and replacing broken stuff.

I had an LED interior light kit arrive from Ebay, also a 3" stainless down pipe, (seems good quality for a cheap eBay job. Circuit Werks brand on the box)
Also picked up a K03s from Gav and all the relevant gaskets to do the swap from k03 on my GTI.

    Fun times ahead!!

Fit my blower motor voltage regulator/ thermal fuse assembly today so I have air conditioning again - just in time for the heat wave headed my way.

Which interior kit did you order? I ordered one and the quality is fine but the leds sent are different colours and I can't even replace all bulbs as they sent me not enough of one bulb and to many of another! Lucky only $15. I disputed on PayPal.

Also I didn't notice it was warm white. I guess I was just looking at the pictures.

Let me know how you go with yours.

    Don't order this kit.

Pedal has a metal tab which breaks off needs to be welded back. Well documented on forums.

Happened to me 4 up on the Dayboro road one Sunday. RACQ job. I did have it all in bits with my leatherman, could have done it at the side of the road if there had been a MIG welder on the truck.

Was 2 hours from breakdown to driving again.

    Bad luck there though Chris.....

Lindsey, next time you are on holidays. maybe take it out and get it welded up.

Went on the truck to German Autos they know all about this problem and will have it welded for me today.
A work colleague spotted me on the side of the road and gave me a lift once the car was on the truck.
Just need a taxi to pickup later today.
