You might want to check dealer pricing and availability in Australia - R-line bumpers for Mk4 Golf were only discontinued in 2012 according to Solitaire in Adelaide - not sure if Bora R-line would have been discontinued at the same time. Other Mk4 R32 parts weren't as expensive as I expected.

It's long shot but I'm sure the Bora R was still built in China after it was discontinued everywhere else. Could possibly locate parts there? Just an idea!!!

Priced up the upper timing chain parts at a local VW place. $480 and 4 weeks to get here. Glad i only ended up paying $125 or so shipped for them. And chucked in an R8 oil cap for $30ish

Took the wheels off to replace the swaybar bushes and decided to clean under the wheel arch liners at the same time - glad I did ...

For all you very knowledgable VeeDub MKIV owners - has anyone seen someone in Aus fit an Audi A4 B5 steering wheel to their MK4?

From what I read the Audi A4 b5 steering wheel does fit on the steering column but I'm not assured on the airbag functionality and the wiring. Usually I'd sus this out using a wiring diagram but I can't find one.

    Anyone know anything?

Yeah, the first time I cleaned them out it was crazy ... I'm keeping an eye on them now as it's a prime area for rust.

How's the wiring for the conversion going?
