ECS is great, but they royally **** us in the ass for the shipping. Its totally unjustified costs.

Are they to expensive or do you find it wrong to be charged freight costs?

They are too expensive when you calculate the actual costs. Most people don't mind paying for shipping, it's when the business seeks to profit on shipping that it becomes an issue. ECS often ships free domestically and makes up for that by screwing overseas customers.

Check out local suppliers who deal with ECS instead as they often do deals on shipping to bring costs down to reasonable levels.

Group buys are also an option.
