Got the R32 Golf zhorst fitted on the Bora
Needed a bit of work but the guy from Midas did an excellent job. Very clean and professional.

No more V8 growl, but it is still a nice note. Sounds like a 600c motorbike and the car is far more responsive. Definitely think it's free'd up some power.

Best of all, it is quiet at low revs during acceleration (is droney but this time its bearable) so I don't have to fear getting hammered by the disgusting & disgraceful institution that is Victoria police.

How much thread have you got left on the rears and what tyre size are you running? any guard work?
Morry, no guard work. There's still a good amount of tread on them - no rubbing on the rears if that's what you were thinking of. 225/40/18. If anything, I actually need to raise the rear up a bit, because I've got some negative rake happening (yuk) & I can't lower the front anymore due to clearance with the bumper and splitter....just haven't got around to adjusting them again lol

Kendog yours is looking really neat - I wouldn't mind some spacers on mine just to fill the arches out a bit but wouldn't be able to do it at the moment otherwise the guards would scrub. Are you running KU31s as well?

Cheers! Yeah, 225/40/18 Kumho KU31's, pretty standard, in hindsight either wider or narrower would be nicer, wider would've protected me from a bit of gutter rash, and narrower would have given that nice stretched look.. I was pretty noob when I ordered them.

I was thinking he meant 'thread' left on the windings of the rear suspension coils? Meaning how high you had to adjust them for that ride height...

Played with the wastegate actuator again today got it set to stock 6psi physical and plugged back in and hit 18psi finally (after a drive to the city in 24c on road temps and stock SMIC).

So with that running at 4psi and the leak on the TIP it was running soo sluggish.

Recommend checking it just unplug the n75 and it should be 6psi on a boost guage for a stage 1 tune if its not tighten in small amounts to get it to 6psi clear the codes with a reset (I use vagcom) and enjoy the extra power and response.

Sorry yes, completely misread that! I just had a look - mine are only wound down about halfway, so there's a good 15mm left to wind them all the way down

Did the external resistor mod on my thermo fans today. Fans spin as soon as I crank the a/c but no cold air...... Back to the drawing board! At least my fans seem to work fine now.

Check that the compressor is indeed spinning.

Clutch has basically gone in the mk4 Ordered the 14lb one from ECS on Wednesday and it arrived yesterday! Must say, their shipping prices are on the higher end but definitely worthwhile. Getting put in on Tuesday 17th.
