What have you done to your mk4 (golf/bora) today?

yea i went on ebay and it apparently was wrecking it! was like ok so how much for exhaust and everything else if still available as i told him im keen a while back on parts and he said its sold for $600! apparently no one actually offered him any $$ for it. my response was you were determined to sell it whole so why offer if he wasnt going to part it out. piss weak excuse like he lost my number prick! yea i think ill be waiting a while just to get parts i think :/

Yeah, after he told me he didn't want to part it out yet, I left him my number and a message saying to let me know ASAP if you're parting it out and I'll take the exhaust, keys and CCM, and possibly rear bumper etc. ..

I figured he was going to **** me around, so bit the bullet and bought elsewhere.

yea since 42dd couldnt do me a split system i just looked at millteck systems. he got a time frame before i give him the flick haha

I would have given him more than that for just the parts I wanted.. Oh well.

Anyway, my CCM with wiring looms, and remote key fobs turned up from UK this morning..

I've just recently installed some after market speakers in my rear doors. What I did to keep the original set up of the car was cut out speaker internals and cut out the inside of speaker housing. Then purchased some 5 inch Mdf speaker housings from repco. I trimmed the inside diameter of the Mdf to fit a 6 inch speaker. Then glued the Mdf to the speaker housing. Once it was set I installed the speaker which I also used sikaflex to hold in place as screws were to difficult to install due to space. Soldered wires from original connector to speakers. Fits like original using rivets. Kept it all like stock only sounds much better since installed the DSP. Next is front. Ill post up pics when front get done hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Finally did a decent job of thickening the wheel. Wrapped it in 6mm closed-cell high density foam, Sikaflexed it on and then wrapped it in tape so it dries in the right shape. I'm thinking I might just trim the edges around the spokes, then re-wrap it really tightly in fiberglass tape or duct tape to smooth it all out and compress the foam as much as possible, so it will be easier to wrap in leather.
