I think the Hellas are adr approved though. Its like the stock mk3 Vr tails.
Can tell ya you won't find these (flat5s) in 5x100, can get fat5s though, but only in 17
Got them from some guy having a cleanout in Melbourne

They seem to be made by Hella. Can't find the branding anywhere though. But it does have some markings on the light like adr approved tails do.
As you know in Victoria, if the police officer says it is, then it is. I'd need to go and fight it in court or getting an engineers cert to prove they are legal.

I think that they picked on them because the light is very dim. I've had multiple people tell me that it is hard to see the lights esp during bad weather. I'll fit brighter bulbs at a later stage and that should probably fix that problem - in the meantime I'll be rolling around on pov pack stock wheels and lights I'm so going to miss the wheels :'(

It seems to get what I want, I need to bite the bullet and fit spaces. Really scared of that idea though due to insurance and liability issues.

On a side note, turns out autobarn sell 5L concentrate of Penrite vw approved 6year warranty coolant for only $55! Not bad considering the quantity.

How do you do a full flush of the bora V6 cooling system?

I have Hella 'magic color' tail lights on my golf, and I'm pretty sure I put my original VW/OEM bulbs and whole 'light mounting board' (?) back into the mounting/housing of the new Hella lights. My lights always seem bright enough, even in daylight, only thing I'd like to brighten are the reverse lights, never had any trouble from the boys in blue, touch wood!

Yeah, I'd look at the actual bulbs etc compared to OEM ones, try that first.. If you can't find the info online, maybe pop into a wreckers to check an OEM set of lights/bulbs to see the difference..

My net optic arrived from the uk! So i have a dilema! To sand down to give the aluminium effect like everyone else seems to go down that path or just recently have found a style called hydro design. It looks like really cool stuff! Google it or give it a look on facebook

That hydro design stuff looks pretty amazing - complicated but amazing. You could certainly get some interesting results with it.

Is the net optic that bad? I wonder why no one runs it as is.

What's the longevity of plasti-dip on high use parts like interior door handles and the like?

I've just been using Krylon Fusion Acrylic on my interior - I'll take some pics of the glovebox, but it's pretty much indistinguishable from OEM. Interior handles are next on the list.

$195 plus shipping but they're on special atm for $165. I'm getting a little wheel hop on hard shifts into 2nd so hopefully this helps. I reckon if a we can get 3 or 4 shipping will be quite sensible

Not sure on the long term use (edited) of the plasti-dip, nor the rubbery feeling of it in summer.. But I definitely wanted the matte look like the OEM, and have a can ready to go, so thought I'd give it a try.. I'll have a look at the krylon fusion acrylic you've mentioned too, does it leave a matte or gloss finish?
