    Reset one touch window function

    Start with window up.
Press and hold the button down until the window is fully DOWN
Press and hold the button up until the window is fully UP
Done - one touch function will work from now on.

    Cool Five Brake Light Mod

Wired the passenger side brake light holder to the empty rear fog light holder and put a bulb in the empty holder.

Wired the drivers side brake light holder to the rear fog light holder (with diode) and replaced existing bulb with new one. Wired diode in between fog light switch and holder as well.

Now fog lights come on when I brake. AKA the 5 brake light mod.

Note for those of you playing at home the first diode is to stop drivers side brake light coming on when the fog light is turned on normally and the second one is to stop feedback to the switch and the fog light cluster lamp coming on when you brake.

A good DIY is located here: http://s90139951.onlinehome.us/vw/rearmod.htm
Also a big thanks to graeme86 for some good photos of his install which helped make the wiring with the diodes much clearer and also gave a much more ingenious way of wiring it rather than the nasty wire splicing shown in the link above.

    Cheers,
    Trent

    Cool to know, thanks!

Also didn't realize that fog was meant to be missing a bulb... thought mine had dropped out or the previous owner had taken it out or something random.

Yeah the rear fog light is only on the rear drivers side. If you install a bulb in there on the passenger side it won't work due to there being no wiring to that light.

mine does...? haha and i didn't do wiring. I replaced a number of bulbs (including the passenger fog, as i thought it was just missing) and they all work.

How about that then. I wonder why yours would have the wiring for two rear fogs but mine doesn't?
    Crazy freaky weirdness.

Trent, the 5 brake light mod is way to bright dude.. if you get a ticket like that other dude did on the tex up there don't ask yourself why! Its like sitting being 50 led lights on a truck at a Red Light!

Oh and i have wiring for 2 fog lights too but only 1 work .. not that i use it anyhow. I remember when i used my fog light on the Astra in Germany in DENSE fog, i got beemed, and beeped! wtF! I couldnt even see my bonnet for gods sake people!

My update, calipers still enjoying my fish tank view ... so is the cupra lip. Car also needs an oil change (well doesnt but to me it does) ..
