That's a great price for that - being an OEM part and all... wonder how it compares to the Diesel Geek Short Shifter?
I have a B & M Short Shifter which are a totally different design and replaces the Shift Stick and mechanism under the Gearstick, not the changer part on the gearbox...
Not sure which is best... Good thing we all like different things... keep these companies in business.

Thats the exact part from ECS

But I purchased mine 2nd hand off Graeme! Which he got from a stripped/parted out R32
Naw thats a good price if you ask me .. might chuck it on the mass ecs order list :p
Was it relatively easy to install ?

Have you got the stainless steel bushings for the one that sits on top of the gearbox though? Might be another thing to tighten shifting up.

Well Graeme who pretty much installed it for me, had done it a few times.. So he just went bang bang bang and it was fitted haha
But it looked pretty straight forward. Just a few little tricks here and there to make life easier

    This is what I've got...

Precision Sport Shifter, Audi, Volkswagen, Seat Ibiza/Cupra and Skoda Octavia | B&M Racing and Performance Products

It has stainless steel bushings yes. I Lift up to go into reverse now... Mechanic said it was much simpler than the
OEM and stronger. I actually noticed in the Bora manual it recommends not driving with your hand on the gear stick to avoid wear, presumably on the bushings...? Don't think it will be a problem anymore...? Maybe I should get the ECS one and go super short shift?
