Half way through an amp install. Why do VW's engineers hate me?
LYNCHY: do a write up when you are done, that way we can all learn from what you did, keep fighting mate!
I pulled the passenger door lock again, 3rd time. This time I re-soldered all the contacts. When I was putting it all back together one of the wires to the latch microswitch broke, my soldering from the last attempt was obviously not good enough.
For what its worth I can now strip the door an remove the lock module in about 10minutes.
Finished painting and chucked on my new wheels, now with 17" wheels it is so apparent that I need moar loooowwssss, there is no escaping it now, time to start saving for coilovers....

I didn't have time to grab pics, and most of what I've done is allready on forums. However, I am getting a bit fancy with my amp location, so I'll write that up.
No, I'm only powering the fronts and a sub, so I'm running a hertz he4 in 3 channel mode. Autobahn offered a good deal at $250 for a box and sub, when i took it to the checkout, got charged for the $60 box, but the girl didn't see the sub. Amp was $500 more. Winning!
Remembered I have a spare bung in my down pipe for when I was running logs, so I bought one of these...
