Basically, the Phase 2 is written to take account of larger downpipe, this is the major player in the requirement league. Anything else you do would be icing on the cake. Custom-Code are not actively writing new software for ME3.8, They have done tons over the years so files are written on experience and checked with logging.
If something drastic was noted from the logging, invariably it would be failed hardware. Dying fuel pumps, blown diverter valves, leaky vac pipes etc The software has plenty of test miles under it's belt and it's unlikely that some new hardware combination is going to turn up now.
Fitting a FMIC will mean cooler intake temps so the ECU would not need to pull timing to compensate as often. The car would run fine on a standard cooler but obviously, heat will come into play sooner. The same with intakes, any improvement in breathing will make power, even if it's a small amount.
