    thanks mate!

As far as BOV / DV: I don't want anything too loud or wanky, efficiency over show-off on noise related stuff for me.. Suggestions? or are they all kind of the same?

If I was buying one new, I'd go with my ebay special.... If you are having Lito's APR ECU and he is prepared to chuck it in with the deal, the choice is made.

On top of that, I'll buy you standard ECU if you want to sell it.

Just out of curiosity, what is your "ebay special"?

Thanks for that, I'll be in touch with Lito about his since he will be shipping me the ECU anyway.

This morning I TRIED to raise the front (suspension) of my car back up a good 10mm or so on the coilovers, (due to the new GTI engine being heavier), before I get a wheel alignment.

I could not wind the coilover collars 'higher' than it was before, even though there's over say 100mm of thread still to go. I'm pretty sure this is due to 'road dirt, grime & crud' dried & hardened on the thread that is stopping me wind the collars any higher. I can wind them lower fairly easy, just not higher, where the thread is behind the compressed springs & I can't get in there to clean them. Sound right?

Also, 'if and when' I get the thread cleaned in the areas I need (to wind the collar to), is it bad to spray a little "RP-7" / "WD-40" on the thread to get it moving easier and keep crud from drying to the thread??

    Much thanks.

Also, massive importance... Where's the best place to get a GOOD wheel alignment in metropolitan Sydney?? I work in Alexandria, but can travel further than surrounding areas on a Sat...

A brush with brass bristles would help if it's thin enough. Failing that a good shot with WD or whatever will help. Won't stop stuff drying over the top but if you wind the platform down first you can move the spring and it'll be easier to clean the threads.
