Last night I fell victim to the dreaded window regulator clips snapping and the passenger side window plummeting into the door with a resounding crash - man that is a way to freak anyone who happens to be a passenger at the time right out!

Not sure if I need the whole assembly since the window is now stuck down and kind of rattling around, or whether new clips and some ingenuity will fix the problem. It looks like a reasonably complicated fix if Vortex is anything to go by ...
    shall try again...
no all the rest are here still. im keeping the teledails and building them wider, havnt seen any cash for the flat5s yet so they are still sitting here, same with the LMs but they dont worry me as im going to run the 15mm adapter in the back to make them a bit more daily friendly for a bit.

you might have to pull the door card off and see whats actually broken. might just be the clips, but the guides or line for the window reg itself could have gone also...

Fixed passenger window - turned out to be the clips ... unfortunately the replacement clips in the regulator repair kit are the same design as the oldies so I'm considering ordering the metal ones off ebay for peace of mind.

Also fitted a three spoke steering wheel in place of my old four-spoker.

more pics of four spoke?? thought the basic 3 spoke was standard across the lower end of the mk4s...?

ha, alpahrds would be sick. these have been in the pipe line for a long time. now im questioning the tyre size and adapter size compared to what i was originally thinking after mounting them up.
do think i could pull off tucking this style of wheel though for ultimate daily win.
here is 18x9et26 on my wonky drivers arch (always makes wheels poke more then the passenger side)

Do they tuck more than that when on or are you borderline legal? Going to look PHAT either way ...

Not sure re. wheel - I got a four spoker standard ... (Would be good if it had cruise control and radio controls like the Euro ones, but it is just a basic model)

That sounds about right. Mine is a 2.0 - it might have been an option that I couldn't justify at the time.

Just ordered some gummi pflege from eBay uk.

Installed a powered USB plug in the dash cubby hole for charging phones. Should solve the problem of powering the kids DVD while needing the phone charged.

Ordered a new power window master switch, drivers switch has a broken loose.
Clutch master cylinder to be done soon too.
