Got new tyres on yesturday. Bridgestone RE002. Best tyres I have ever owned, and we have only had pouring rain so far. Can't wait to try them in the dry!
Also ordered $1500 worth of parts from overseas![]()
sucks being broke, my mechanic and parts supplier are pretty nice and let me pay them slowly

swapped some wheels over on the bora to find a split CV boot (same as last time if i remember correctly)
passenger arch liner is pretty much gone, drivers the bolts have worn and some seem to have disappeared.
feels good to be back on some real tyres and width though, steering is soooo much nicer
What wheels are on now?

anyone find they get nagged by the cops for running wide rears? I'm thinking of going 9 inches on the rears but really don't want to be pulled over all the time. Thinking new wheels 17x8 +31 and 17x9 +30 on the rears.
Nope, I've never had any trouble with 9 inch rears, although I'm probably not low enough and they need to be spaced out more.
what model car?
4mo/r32 with that will tuck it with a decent drop. FWD with a 50mm+ drop will swallow the fronts and rears will sit pretty much in line with the guards (refer my teledials, they are a 9et30 with a 225/40/18 in the rear)
cops wont notice they are too wide, its only .5" wider then what you can legally do in most places in aus on a mk4, if they pull u over you'll get ****ed either way.
I run 10s and have no problems touch wood
Not letting the flooding rains stop progress, my mate and I pulled an all nighter fitting new Fk headlights, taillights and 6000k HID's.
I think we did pretty well considering our little knowledge on VW's lol. Whole thing took us around 6 hours.
Not real happy with the colour or brightness of the halo's, so will be changing the bulbs to LEDs
