Indeed.
Rims are 18x7.5"
Final ets will be f-31 r-21.
Tyres 225x40x18
*if all goes to plan!*
I'm 25" fender to ground (not the best method I know) all round on 17's but I find that even a little low around the suburbs.
told you they were easy haha.
audi-tone, depends what you call decent, vortex would say 17s have to be slammed on the ground to work. vww can pull off at just about any height. its not just height, widths, offsets, tyre size all play a part in the final look

Platinum Grey mkV Jetta turbo, Viezu motorsport map, GT-CX 18", lowering to come
get it down closer to 24" with equal tyre-to-arch gap all round and it will look fine.
not going to be crazy fitment or anything, but will be a big improvement over stock thats for sure, turn heads, and not draw to much police attention hopefully
the way i got the tops undone was just with a Spark plug socket like this one
Stuck the allen key through it, Used a spanner on the spark plug socket. And on the allen key i found a small bit of tubing which i slipped over the end so i had enough force to hold it in place while i undid it with the spanner and spark plug socket.
Just find something that you can slide over the allen key to get a bit more leverage and you'll be right!
exactly as said above, or a quick blip of a rattle gun to get you on your way
Yeah that's exactly what I used except the tubing I used multiple pairs of pliers etc. I was thinking if I cut the allen key in half and still use the big socket I could use a 7mm socket on the end of the allen key and the length of the wrench might give me the leverage.
I was keen to have another crack today, but CBF right now.
Cheers for the help fella's.
This is how it was after leaving Camden GTI, but I'm going to bring the rears up a little, to make the gaps more even. Also, finding the fronts handling bumps etc quite well, but the back is a little rigid, and this IS my daily drive. So, I'm off to do that. So happy already...
I'll go get another one right now, while the sun is good...
Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...
Bring the front down to match the rear looks good.

Given that they will still settle a tiny bit, theres no need to lower them any more for a daily. I think you have the heights looking damn nice. You should definately be happy with that!
Have you checked lowest clearance point underneath by any chance?
