    Went from this

    To this

Nothing changed right (apart from it slightly cleaner) Some idiot decided to only fill 3 of the 4 tyres so i couldn't put the new shoes on just yet.

At least my sub box went from this

    to this

Should get it reinforced tommorow and carpeted soon. Just wiring in the car to go.

Well, the bloody timing chain skipped a tooth again on the weekend...

Another 2 hours spent with my head under the bonnet...
On the plus side, I now know what the real issue is...

At first I thought it was the timing chain tensioner as it has a sticky spot at about 2/3 extension.
Whilst that's not great, oil pressure is more than enough to overcome it.

The real issue is that the Upper Timing Chain Guide is cracked.
Whilst I probably should replace the whole set (Upper & Lower Guides, Tensioners and Chains), as this motor has already done 300,000k's, I'm just going to replace the cracked guide and then consider my options for rebuilding it in the next 6months or so.

Sort of but not, they had been repainted in silver before but the paint was peeling around the edge of the rim.
So I had to use paint stripper to get rid of the silver paint plus the original clear finish.
Underneath was the original polished finish, but when you strip the finish off you end up getting scratches.
So you have to sand them (not fun) and repolish them again

Its been raining all day so only cleaned the hood so I could test fit it.

Yeah I'm sick of stone chips on the bonnet, it seems the worse affected.
