Got it off vortex from a guy on there. Shipping was a nightmare about $900 but i should have shopped around a bit better. Should have been $500 but it changed

What colour are they now? bit hard to tell from pics.

Everyone is getting LMs, might have to sell up and get underway with my other plan to keep it different.

Picked my car up from servicing... Nice little note on the bottom of the receipt about heavy wear to drive shafts... lol...
They are sorta silver but not as dark as i would like.

Haha dont say that i want them to be unique as well. Least im only one in wa i hope

My R32 saw the same thing the other week. She's getting up there! I've stopped caring about the K's though, and learned to accept she will live long if I keep caring for her (better than my girlfriend most time, so she reckons!).

Got around to fitting the new guard liners and found a good pile of compost in the drivers side where the old guard was shredded...

    The old vs new...

And then thought I would tackle the vacuum leak and found this little nipple totally blocked as well as the hose broken...

Its all sorted now and after a test drive I was very surprised to find two things. First the brake pedal is hard now, very hard. No Idea why this may have happened but will need to double check it later but the brakes work just as good as before so not a biggy. Second thing was the rough running, feels like the engine is readapting but it was a lot more responsive which can only be good

While I had the wheels off I did notice this...

Does that steering arm look right? I had a look at the right side and it didnt seem as curved but the wheel was back on by then so my view may have been off.

you're right about the compost; you practically need to get under there with a pressure hose to clean it out.... (as i discovered when removing the front bumper for a headlight swap)

re. the brake pedal being harder: on a different issue, I've noticed that when i brake hard the pedal is v sensitive (as if I can feel all the ABS or whatever I'm driving over right through my foot).... is this normal ? I don't feel this in my dad's GTI, but I did feel it in a 8yr old 325i I test drove a month or so ago. Does it mean brakes are getting worn ?

took the vr6 baby to V.I.V today thankfully it passed just need to take it to volkswagen for the computer test and should be ready for rwc/reg ... saddest thing happened when i went to pick up the car turns out one of the igition coils failed and the car was running on 5 cyl altho i was able to source a replacement coil by the end of the day ..

so im guessing its started to earn it stripes so i gave it some , the windsheild is getting one when it gets rego'd =]
