i drove my car today!
first time in 2 weeks, woopeeeee!
I left my lock-bolt key on the car and went for a drive and subsequently lost the key...now to chase up a new one.
Hi Trent, yes all the info is available in the following PDF files
Gear Ratio, Speed and RPM Calculations for Standard R32 O2M-GQV Gearing
Gear Ratio, Speed and RPM Calculations for O2M-FMS Shorter Gearing 4th to 6th
NOTE: Due to the two different pinions in the O2M Gearbox 1st to 4th gear and 5th and 6th gear have their own final drive ratios. Therefore we have adjusted 5th and 6th gear for the compound ratio to get an overall result as accurate as possible due to the limitations of the calculation software to only have one final drive entered.
Cheers Al
Confirmed that I have a dead clutch. Now all I'm waiting to hear is just how much it's going to cost (whether the flywheel is dead too)...
i might wash my car for once tomorrow lol
/end update
Get a lightened one man. It's worth the extra, and don't I know it..when changing my clutch I had the option and turned it down!
the revrange in every car I've driven has felt smoother, and it has been easier to snap through gears quicker because of a lighter flywheel than my stupid fat one. Next time I touch my gearbox for maintenance I'll be putting a lightened fly in.
If the flywheel needs doing, it'll just be getting a stock one - given the sudden and unexpected costs, the extra it'd cost for something non-standard won't be a welcome cost.
