With much batting of eyelids and pretty much doing everything she wants, I extorted my gift early. Dieselgeek short shifter is installed.

WOW! Words can't describe the improvement in feel, the lovely "click click" of every shift. 2nd to 3rd becomes a special bonding moment with your car (3rd back to 2nd takes some getting used to though). If, like me, you can't quite sprig the grand or so for a chip just yet, this has got to be one of the better mods around. Really easy to fit too, just take your time and follow the excellent instructions.

Dieselgeek claim a 30% reduction. Feels more like 90!

Price delivered by Fedex was A$260.

Well went over to MrJLT's to Drink beers n bull**** in the man office and ended up fitting new strut top bearings ,fitting new slotted n dimpled rotors on the front and fitting an ATP exhaust manifold .... not to mention fixing all the little "issues" along the way ( Presidential solution applied numerous times ;p ) Couldn't get over the difference between the stock manifold and the ATP..........Although one of the more "fiddly" operations performed on the golf as removing the stock item was tricky and the extra size of the new one made it twice as fun putting the car back together so after numerous beers, monsters and a 4am finish I would be in a hurry to do it again..

I reckon the plate would add a bit in shipping. Pretty big bit of kit that.

I installed my APR turbo inlet pipe with help of a mate today. To say it was a royal pain in the *** would be an understatement but we eventually got it in there. I have to say I am very impressed with the amount of extra top end it gives you, makes the engine alot smoother as well and the turbo spool much quicker and louder. It's quite surprising to see how restrictive the stock one actually is.

New tail lights and aerial are in/on.
US spec taillights dont come with fog lights... so had to chop them up a little to make it work.
sunday night thought id make sure all the lights are still working, turns out i have lost BOTH tail lights...

Exhaust is sounding even worse, so need to get that checked
