I've been using an oliled BMC for year with no problems at all.

A timely topic, my mechanic told me yesterday that it was full of gravel, I guess it really does get good air flow. He has been having a fun time cleaning it for me.

Then, to test the whole "dangerous lift-off oversteer" argument, there are more than enough downhill, off-camber tight turns in my area (see my location). I approached one of these corners at 70kph, lift off quickly while turning and nothing. The nose just tucked in beautifully without the arse end even coming into play.

Will take it home by the mountain road from work tonight and will see how it performs

Oh, it also now loves quick direction changes, like tuning into service roads without lifting off.....
I wouldn't mind getting one of these in the future. How much did the sway bar set you back, and did you order it directly from whiteline?

I noticed a huuugee difference when I put mine on

These car's are inherntly always going to understeer, they are just built like that... You have to do a lot to dial that out.

    Today was a big day
New clutch, new flywheel and service.

Drives like a dream, I can't ever remember the clutch being this light and responsive. I love my car again, just have to fix the sunroof drains and put the interior back in. Should be back to 100% over the weekend.

get a air hose blower in it, blow it out.. it usually fixes the problem
also cut open the holes at the door bottoms etc .. clogs up!

I have taken the end bits off and seen how much dirt is in there = heaps.
My plan is to replace all the hose lines, I've read that the PVC gets brittle over time and can crack. I dont want this to happen again - ever. It is a real pain to remove carpets.

Replaced the thermostat today, 1 of many parts lately (temp sensor, MAF, air filter, etc)

Most likely a Oxygen sensor going in soon too... so much money
