manaz, when you say 2001.5 do you mean half way through the year? or is theres something that looks/acts different? mines a january 2001, only difference i've seen is different pattens on seats, head rests are filled in, and climate control unit in newer models...? or maybe i dont pay enough attension

i think i might have done worse... washed the car, and the water was icing over it... hands were plenty numb! cold water was warm compared to the car/sponge.

    car's shiny again though

Yep, half-way through 2001 there was an update. The new headrests, climate control, etc were part of that update, and I think the dash was upgraded at the same time.
    Nothing to see here...

Swapped out my blue Haldex controller for an HPA competition controller in preparation for some other mods on their way from OS.

How does the HPA competition controller compare to the blue? Is it more aggressive again in hooking the rear's up, or does it do other stuff as well?

More agressive programming as well as it doesn't disengage drive to the rear wheels under braking like the blue and stock controllers do. This is similar to the old quattro systems, allowing you to brake much deeper into corners. It is not recommended for street applications though.

    More info here
