haha no DIY, I did it myself.

I think it feels a bit more responsive and lively. Sounds good to, I will try and get a vid, not so loud though because my exhaust is not resonated so thats pretty loud but it adds to the overall noise

Of course I wasn't drinking officer, pops bonnet A-huh EVIDANCE !!!

Front two BBS had tyres fitted and balanced (one was all over the joint).

my 42 draft design shifter cable bushings arrived today.
i'm hoping it will improve my gear changes because they're getting very notchy.
It's probably a mechanical problem with my gearbox, but thought this was worth a shot before considering a gearbox refurb!
Sometimes i just can't select 1st gear when stopped, and i need to release the clutch slightly so that it gets things moving.
I was thinking this was the synchro, but today the same thing happend on reverse, and there is no synchro on reverse... so maybe it's the selector fork??

These won't improve notchiness, if anything you'll feel it more, as the shifter's better connected to the gearbox now.

Try new fluid - Redline MTL or Shockproof Lightweight.
    Nothing to see here...

already got a gearbox oil change to try improve it, didn't help. don't know what oil was used.

anyway i installed it today. first impressions were a little bad, you definetely do feel it a lot more, however as there is less play, there seems to be less hesitation to go into the gears now... so all up i think it has improved gear changes.

the instructions say "These bushings should give you a direct link between your hand and the synchonrisers. It will not cause your shifting to feeel notchy, grind, or make your gears difficult to engage".
I suppose arguable... it may not "cause" notchiness, but it will let you feel any existing notchiness more...

was a bit of a pain trying to get the stick centered in the neutral position but got there in the end, fairly straight forward install though still a little fiddly.
but was able to do it without removing the air box.
was hesitant removing the stock rubber bushings, would have helped if they showed you a pic! (and in hindsight i should have taken some!)

    That's exactly right.

I've just fitted a DieselGeek Short Shifter into my car - the gearbox feels notchier when sitting still without the engine running, but on the move, it's fantastic, nice short throws, you don't feel the notchiness at all - I've also got new gearbox oil in the car, which will help keep things all nice and smooth.

Also had my UNIBrace fitted, will have to get some pics...
    Nothing to see here...

this may lead to significant power upgrades, lol.
Doh! I nearly went on Wed too with a couple of mates as well ... Not sure if they ended up going. Did you see any other Dubs there?

Today I got my windscreen fixed after last week's little adventure up to Gingin... they were able to patch the chip instead of replacing. Replacement headlight to be ordered next week...
