I believe the last letter in the product code refers to a revision - there have been several revisions of coilpacks during the life of the product, you'd want the latest, as there have been issues reported with previous ones.

ECS have a great response time to email queries as well - you may be best to email them a query.

Yep - the V6 and the V5 are definately the same - so for about $140AU delivered I can get 3 coils.....the same price only gets me 2 through imparts, so I'm going ahead with the $30 ones which are the OEM type.

Got my car dyno'd at MRC in castle hill, and as expected, i'm down on power.
3rd run in 4th got 89.4kW (it's a chipped gti running 16-27psi unitronic program). quite an ugly power curve too, quite jagged.
but the air fule ratio is the most concerning. at 4300rpm, it drops from 10.8, to off the scale (ie. under 10), and only slightly gets back on scale at around 6400 rpm.
i'll post the graphs in my MAF thread shortly...

Oh btw, i've never taken my car to a dyno place before, but Marc from MRC was VERY helpful. spent quite a lot of time with the car and really showed interest in my cars problems. so for what its worth, i really reccomend him.
    they use dyno dynamics FYI.

also got some philips extreme 80+ light bults in the mail today, will be putting em in shortly... (last crappy eclipse bulbs blew...)

Lets see the graph mate. Be more concerning if it were leaning, what flash do you have, some might like to throw a bit more fuel than others for safety.

put my philips xtreme power 80+ bulbs in.
def reccomend them. i was sick of the lame white/bluey bulbs i had before as they were so dim.
lights up the road so much better now. still pretty expensive for $63 from ebay (aussie seller)

Unitronic flash. They're from the states and have only been supporting the Australian market for a short while. Yeah i hear that they tend to run them a bit rich, but surely this is more than a bit rich yeah?

    go back
get it done in gear 3.

    gear 3 for 5 speeds
    gear 4 for 6 speeds

thats how we've always run the dyno days and gets the most accurate figures.

and for gods sake, please do not use a dyno dynamics dyno lol
    What’s behind you doesn’t matter..
