I'm just curious, you do realise what wheel studs are don't you? They aren't the default lugs that come with the wheels mate they are a stud and nut solution used in racing for strength and ease of changing flats when on a stage if that is what you mean by listing everything done to the car they were a 300 dollar item that takes around 2 hours to install properly. The fuel coupling took another couple of hours and was custom fabricated and then tapped into the fuel input line. On top of that the other work was prep work for Mt Buller Sprint, Targa Wrest Point and Targa Tasmania so I don't see the point of your original dig other than I eneded my post with a bit of light hearted banter that I was buggered after a long day.

Maybe when you take your car out of the Maccas parking lot and actually use it in anger you can comment on what I am doing with my car mate

Booked it in for a timing belt and ordered the suspension refresh from ECS.

Timing will be done by Golfwagen, suspension by me....does this post count?

al, firstly i dont eat maccas so my car never goes to maccas unless requested by friends to grab food and its only drive through, maybe its more your scene. secondly i KNOW how to install wheel studs so nice try with the dig there so no anger, having a bit of a dig for a laugh.

i was asking WHAT did you do to it for the fact of your so buggered according to your post so i figured you did that all in one day with your car but obviously not for reasons as said..

gl with mt buller but you missed the entire point..

and i dont use my car in anger? thats the best comment so far! ill have to quote you on that one for a long time to come.. hehe

you'll definitely notice the firmness change on the road, good luck with your suspension! takes a bit of time but not to hard but not fun either.. until end result.

the ecs kit comes with a lot more then i thought, good value for money!

we'll need before pics and after pics!

I adjusted my shocks, made them firmer than a honeymooner's preverbial! Damn this golf is stiff now, I can feel my back fat jiggle even running on 14s with 75mm sidewall tires!!!

Mate, i'd like to go to 18's but I can just imagine feeling my gums bleed and my kidneys being pulverised, 19's would have my eyeballs leaking! Ooooh but it would be worth it!

I'm looking at 17's, just for the price difference and that weeny bit extra compliance, buying a 1st home and all that the funds are a little stretched these days, especially with those mo fo's at the RBA....

This is why I stuck with 17s on my Bora - the compromised ride quality on Sydney roads just doesn't make 18s worthwhile for my purposes.
    Nothing to see here...

to be honest the 18s werent to bad at all, however you definitely notice the nicer ride with 17s for sure. v2's are great, cant fault them and its smooth as could be im sure but yeah 19s nasty! i do have my 17s for that reason, maybe next week ill swap

home loan and mods, your crazy
