Derogatory post coming up anyway unrelated car, anyway i purchased a car, brought it home , washed and waxed it, and was very proud of it. Next morning misses reversed out of the garage and wrecked one whole side of it, i mean proper scrape from front wing to rear panel.

She came in crying, what could i say...........i remind her of this as often as possible.................

Not sure how politically correct this thread is, but anyway ...

.. mine is a story of give and take. Last year when picking up said missus one night after she'd had her hair cut, as I was parking in the shopping centre, I backed her car into a concrete pillar that was right in my blind spot, which I really should have seen anyway!. Just a minor scrape in the rear bumper, she couldn't even see it until I pointed it out.

Anyway, 2 weeks ago she turned up at my workplace as usual to pick me up in the Skoda, and she was very sullen faced - apologetically announcing she had curbed the left rear wheel.

    I guess now we're even

That is a good card to play, keep it close.

My Mrs has done the usual, curbing rims, break tail light, scraped a car park garden edge and lost the bumper inserts.

I won't post what I've done to her car ..

This thread is gold but needs to be made general rather than MkIV Golf

Anyway, with our MkVI Golf my other half has machined both passenger side rims and somehow picked up scrapes on the rear arch and front bumper on that side, though she says they didn't happen while she was driving!!

Rashed my rear dial leaving a super tight exit on a carpark in act at GAD last year
Pretty minor and offered to buy new lips etc.

Other then that she does a damn good job driving it of when it was static .
First time driving it on air came up to me and said 'i aired it out when I parked, that's right yeah?'... Best :p

After buggin the mrs to drive the gti ever since I bought the thing, she finally gave in and said she'd drive it(literally 300 metres down the road). Jumped in,pulled out and pulled right into the gutter. Poor old Rs's needed a good sanding and polishing after that.

tis not a mk4, but these were within the 1st 6 months.....

1st - wing mirror vs garage brick wall, while reversing. thank god the only damage was the just the mirror..

2nd - "that wall was much closer than i thought!!", despite the front parking sensors blaring red red red!!

    touchwood.....nothing since then.
