A welcoming to the mk4 ownership.

It's a bad week for owning a mk4 for me. after replacing passenger window regulator the miror, central locking and window doesn't work. Last night my drier window switch stopped working for all windows. and now central locking has stopped working and the tailgate doesn't lock at all! Is there a simple answer for these problems? i have checked fuse 14 incase that solved the central locking issue but nothing someone help!

tried winding the windows up (if possible) and disconnecting the battery?

mine did something crazy like that a few years ago after blowing a fuse, we disconnected the battery. then followed the procedure in the manual (think its under windows...) and it sorted itself out.

someone posted the steps up on here about 6months ago, will try and find it for you

I'd start by double checking that you've plugged in all of the connections correctly within the door?

If that doesn't work, then a lot (all?) of those functions pass through the comfort control module. Maybe check the normal electrical things that relate to that - fuses, connections etc. and as Dylan says to disconnect and reconnect the battery.

Have you had the car scanned for codes? VagCom or VCDS - I had a similar issue after replacing my busted window clips - once I cleared the fault codes everything returned to normal.
