    Water Leak Mk4 Passenger side

I'm sure this has been covered but with this recent rain I have jumped into the car to notice all the way down passenger side (front and rear footwell and boot) is soaking wet. I'm taking 20mm of water sitting there. I have done a bit of research and found it could be a seal on the door but just wondering if anyone else here has found a solution for it.

Here is a decent link to a fix for anyone else with this issue:

Thats a great link. I had problems with my rear footwell, the same problem as in that word document but it was just the lower seal all clogged with crap.

How'd you connect them?? What did you have to pull apart?

Drains can be found in the front door opening(both sides), just above the hinges -There's a black rubber grommet/valve which may need a squeeze to dislodge dirt. You can pull them out gently, if there's no pipe atteached put you fingers in the hole and fish the pipe out enough so you can reconnect.Don't pull out too much as it might dislodge the pipe from the sunroof connection.

With all the rain overnight the car remains dry...I am guessing it was the door seal

i've noticed that i'm having a similar problem, my passenger side rear footwell keeps getting absolutely saturated with down pours, however its only just there none on the sides, roof or any where else... i removed the passenger side door trim in the rear to find no wetness, taken off all the trimming around the floor and none of the side is wet and i have no idea where to look next without ripping apart my interior. Would the plugs in the front door affect it?
