    Washers as camber shims?

    anything wrong with using them?
seen a few threads on vortex...

since some shims are made from plastic type material... steel washers should be ok right?

Ive seen washers done plenty of times and they are all good.
but in my mind, with the washers the stub axel wont be bearing correctly and evenly.
because a shim (metal or plastic) sits across both surfaces it should be ok, plastic might just wear down over time?

The problem with commercial washers is that their thickness is not toleranced at a level needed for camber shims. You can get away with it, but...
