yep AHG days are good too, generally only get on the skidpan on weekends, but the track is available on weekday events and is quite good!

Get to do this and more:
Always wondered how you got to do that (thought you did it on the street haha)

AHG sold management rights of the complex to RAC, so it's not run by AHG anymore even though most ppl still call it that.

Was up there last weekend for a mate's birthday who got a V8 hot laps voucher.

You might not need a helmet for the advanced driver training - Camrys on adjustable trolleys - but you do for the skidpan and main track.

That why i was wondering why everyone was calling it the AHG track because i went up there not long ago to do my forklift ticket. Should organize a track day at either midvale or the RAC/AHG tracks sometime

Geoff, when I did my advanced training in the GT-P and on the main track, helmets werent required and I was hitting 195 at the end of the straight. that was 5 yrs ago, so perhaps theyve changed the rules now

Had another good weekend spent on the car

Gave it a good clean inside and out as i hadn't really been in the mood lately to do it. So very clean now.

Tried again to install the front fog lights but ran into trouble again when i realize that Germans do everything differently. So waiting on some special fuse holders to come in to continue that.

Installed the 5th brake light mod. Now no one can claim they didn't see me braking.

    Making the Jumpers

    Jumpers installed.

    Result.

Only problem with it is that when i have the rear fog's on (that i never use) all the brake lights come on. Good for tailgater's but still going to have to be fixed with a simple diode.

Did you swap the globe(s) as well? My single rear fog is much brighter than the brakes it hurts too look at if following behind me! I can use it for an extra reverse light at night haha (Not sure if the fog globe is different or just that circuit has higher output or something than the brakes..)
Looks like you wired up the second side as well or did you already have 2 fogs?

No, But i thought the fogs and the brakes have the same globe well same power usage. I added the second fog light bulb ages ago didn't understand why it didn't have one on the other side (no wiring changed just fitted the bulb haha)

My cluster has the space for the 2nd fog globe but not sure if it's wired in. At least it's not a Mk V or Polo where the R and fog are in the same bay on opposite sides!
They are usually only a single globe on the driver's side of the vehicle, but presumably the cluster is designed to suit LHD and RHD markets to avoid duplicating manufacture of parts. Some other Euro brands seem to have 2 wired in from the factory though...
