Should be :) Sounds good, always wanted some good non iPhone photos of it.
Good day today, Had the car less than a day and all ready got it back on jack stands and in pieces :O. Car must have sagged a fair bit since i changed the coils over as im back to hitting the oil sump on curbs and this has happened :)

Anyway today was the start of installing the brembos up front and new discs and pads on the rear.
Car started out like it was trying to fly.

Then took off all the wheels so it looks like someone stole em

Started on the rears as i had to paint them to match the brembos up front. Unfortunately there was a 4week wait for red brembos so i had to go with black. Might respray them later on sometime.
Cailpers removed, pads off, trying to remove the pain in the ass that is the discs. (still unsure on how they are that stuck on there) 3 jaw pullers are a savour for anything like this.

Thats as far as i got today. Plans for tommorow include fitting new rear discs and pads, fitting new callipers and discs on the front, Fitting the braded stainless steel lines, then pumping 2lt of fluid through the system. Hopefully i cant get it all done.
Decent effort to get the guards caught considering the wide body.
all this talk of brakes makes me want some!!
Looking good!
Well today was..... Insanely frustrating.
Not bad in terms of progress but just one BIG road block.
Once again car started out like this

Everything had been taken off so it was simply time to start installing. First were the rears, Not too hard untill i tried to push the pistons back only to realise you have to turn them at the same time. Another trip up to auto one to find a tool that i had to modify to work. Guy reckons you would only have to turn it, but nope on a VW you have to turn and push! Yay! other than that pretty simple.
New and old discs and pads

Then was the fronts turn. Was fairly simple as all i had to do was remove the brake line at the inner wall and install the new one all ready attached to the calliper.

All that was left was the rear stainless lines which where a bit of a PITA as the clips are bastards to put on.

So. That leaves me with not a lot i can do. Options at the moment include spacing the callipers with washers which i have no idea if it will give enough clearance, wheel spacers which i think are illegal, Milling the callipers down which runs the risk of ruining them, Machining the inside face of the wheel which i just wont do or going back to stock. Thank god i have a driving course and cruise next week :(
oh bummer!
how much do you think its touching by? like how many mm to clear it?
don bother with washers mate, just put some spacers on. If they are not massive (and i dont think you'll need massive, prob 5mm max) noone will even know that they are there. My mate went over the pits with spacers on the front and passed
Yeah they didn't do enough. Apparently according to auto one up to 5mm in WA is fine (God dam sometimes i love backwards WA). Only problem is i don't know to go 3mm or 5mm, suppose its not much difference. Might just go 5mm and buy some hub centric ones from dub addiction. All is not lost thank god.
