On the oettinger site they list 18 x 8.5 35et as the specs for their 5 spoke rim to suit Bora .... This would also confirm Tims suggested size as a no hassle fitment .... So the search continues !!!

Iv done two to show the difference between heights and how much difference it can make even over a 2.5-3" drop
excuse the photos. measurements were taken on level ground, not enough room to take pictures there.

Car: Bora FWD 2lt, aired out
    Front: 17x7.5et30 215/45/17 good year
    Rear: 17x7.5et30 215/45/17 pirelli
Arch height to ground Front: 21.75"
Arch height to ground Rear: 22"
    Fenders Rolled: Front only
    Fenders Pulled: No
Camber: Front 1deg, but due to being pulled from the bottom it makes offsets more aggressive (approx the same as running a 10mm spacer/ 1deg extra in rear

Car: Bora FWD 2lt, approx ride height
    Front: 17x7.5et30 215/45/17 good year
    Rear: 17x7.5et30 215/45/17 pirelli
Arch height to ground Front: 24.5"
Arch height to ground Rear: 25"
    Fenders Rolled: Front only
    Fenders Pulled: No
Camber: Front 1deg, but due to being pulled from the bottom it makes offsets more aggressive (approx the same as running a 10mm spacer/ 1deg extra in rear

as you can see front cambers out, but sucks in the lower it goes
Rear stays about the same due to the fixed beam, it just rolls forward into the guards

yeah will fit fine on springs or coils with a ~30-50mm drop. lower then that and will start hitting coils and inside of the tyre will hit the arch most likely

Thanks for the photos Dylan !!! Love your work !!
Are you running adjustable control arms on the back to correct camber/toe in changes due to ride height drop ??

nar control arms are in the front.
I got them to add a touch of camber and to give more clearance (front control arms were hitting the subframe and restricting how low i could go)

rear is a fixed beam in the fwd cars so cant do much other then shimming on drop plates

Does anyone here run Genuine aristos on Their golf and run spacers? Looking for some reference to order some. been told either 8/15 for almost flush and 10/20 for flush. is this correct?
