One thing the V-Checker doesn't do is logging of the various readings that your car is capable of putting out - this can be very useful when diagnosing problems.
Not sure how many outputs it can display in real-time either, you can do quite a few using the VAG-COM graphing utility.
Nothing to see here...
i am unsure of the depth of what vag-com is capable of,being new to this computer based tuning, i dont know how deep you can control change and view properties.
and more to the point how much of it i will understand or find benifitial.
for a start i would like to clear the airbag code on the a4 and fault check both cars, and then look at boost tables/readings and try and do some automatic close features for the sunroof and windows??
VAG-COM and V-Checker can both view/clear codes. You should be able to view boost with VAG-COM, not sure about viewing the maps though.
Apparently it's possible in theory to do the sunroof/window closing with VAG-COM, but not everyone's successful in getting it to work. A KVW100 device (~$100) can do that for you though.
