I'll get the MAF part number checked for you.

Sounds like a vacuum leak mate. Bring it down and I can diagnose it for you.
Will be heaps cheaper than changing lots of random expensive parts.
We also have parts that we can use as a test unit to diagnose your car.

Thanks for the offer! Bit of a treck down to you from the northern beaches though, plus I would have to cross the bridge! :-o Kidding!

Do you work Saturdays? That is the only day I would be able to make it. Might be a last resort if I can't diagnose it myself or with local help.

Awesome! That will make it easier to find one, thanks.

I might just leave it a few days and see how it is running because after fiddling with the MAF plug it is running smoothly on idle now.

Plenty of people make the Trek mate, you need to travel for excellence.
We are open 9.30-12 on Saturdays for Diagnosis and Parts, but the Workshop side of the business is not open.

If you can't make it to see Loon but are considering coming to the GTG at Leichhardt Tuesday evening next week, I'll bring the MAF, my laptop and a VAG-COM cable, and we should be able to start seeing what's what.
    Nothing to see here...

That would be great Manaz, thanks! I will definitely come to the GTG on Tue then. So if you see a 6'3" guy in a blue Bora V5 looking like he doesn't know anyone ... that'll be me!

I'll be the 6'4" guy in the white Bora V6 4Motion, probably wearing an R32 jacket.

I'll throw the VAG-COM cable and MAF into my car tonight so I can't forget them (like I did with the cable when I went to Tassie... )
