i'll see if I can find it (not sure if it was posted here or elsewhere) but reducing the weight of the drive puleys really upsets the harmonic balancer and can severely damage the engine. i'll see what i can find.
hey guys has anyone purchased lighter pulleys for their golf already? im gona experiment a bit, and whip out the cash to get some

the lighter parts and smaller diameter should beef up the power curve a bit should it not? if anything it'll look great, has anyone done a similar upgrade before? and got results or feed back to pass on?

Bottom line is you WILL be reducing weight on one end of the crank and over time (how much time nobody knows) it will increase the vibration thereby increasing load and therefore wear on your bearings. for such a minimal gain, i'd not bother. but thats just me.

yeah i see your point and their too. So many conflicting views on the matter, i guess best to play it safe
Yeah I always look at the lightened pulleys (not underdrive) on ECS when I buy something else and in the end the ambiguity about the effects they have always makes me not bother with them. At the end of the power isn't everything and especially in your case there are lots of other things you can spend your money on to get better results.
