My GTI had 4x new Potenza Adrenaline when I bought it, they're still on so I can't compare them to anything else really. I've been happy with them, no complaints

What are you after in a tyre?

I ended up putting a pair of Goodyear Regatta HPs on the front wheels on my Bora recently (fronts had worn below legal and it got picked at rego). For ~$170 a corner, they've surprised me - I'm used to paying over $200 a corner for good tyres. They're quiet and grippy (designed for European cars, they're more of a touring style tyre than a sports tyre).

The RE001 Adrenalins are a bit sportier, but they're sold by Bridgestone as being sportier than they really are - they're not as good as the RE050A for instance. That said, I'm considering a set on my 17" wheels for day-to-day driving.

Over on nissansilivia.com there are some great prices on Kumho tyres: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/i...owtopic=369686 - some of them may be worth considering (I am considering a set of KU36s myself as a track tyre). A friend has KU31s and is happy with them as a "street performance" tyre.

I'm happy with the bridgestone adrenalines on my car. I've had them for around 2 months now, and they certainly are dependable in the wet. My old tyres broke traction in the wet way too easily in 2nd gear, let alone 1st (with only half throttle or less!). The adrenalines have to be pushed a lot harder to break traction under the same conditions.

If you want a good street tyre, you will be impressed with them.

i'm looking at potenza adrenalin RE001, i'm after for better handling in turn, wet and road noise. i 'm not going race them but i dont mind little street drag ever now and them. but i will consider other tyre, like what Manaz said.

I've put on KU31's. Was quite suprised and happy with grip in the wet. Instead of sliding to the other side of the road, car gripped and held nicely

The RE001 or KU31 would both suit I'd guess - KU31 being cheaper.

Let's keep the drags off public roads hey?
