Turning ESP off - Faulty Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor

    Hey Guys
Today I took my car to get a roadworthy certificate, it failed!
The reason is a faulty ESP sensor turning on the ABS light while driving, Will the ESP button just turn it off and not getting this error?
any idea how to persuade the mechanic that the faulty sensor is not related to ABS and it should pass the test?

P.S: I just bought this car without and have to get a roadworthy certificate to put it in my name.

ESP not working is probably going to be a dealbreaker for roadworthy too.

Maybe you could clear the fault codes and see if that stops the light from coming on.

    Thanks for the answer
    I see your point
Since I rejected their offer to fix it they will probably dig into it until they get the error again
Can I change the sensor myself?
    Where is it?

Easy enough to swap out. It's under the dash, you may still need to clear the fault code afterwards though. This link might help.

    Thanks for the video
Actually I had seen that before but didn't realize the lateral acc sensor is the same as Longitudinal acc.
    I though it's another one
Any idea where can I buy that in Melbourne?
Cant wait for the delivery from Ebay
