Ok so i got my hands on a multimeter, and with the hazards on the black/white/green cable gives current, also the black/white cable gives off current only when left blinker is in use. I dont want to go cutting wires when im unsure of what to do.

Why are you trying to isolate the positive indicator wire?

The back of the connector is actually live, so to test, you can push an exposed wire into the connector (from the back) and it'll give power to whatever device/purpose you need it for.

Once you've done this and found the wire you're after, then cut.
