    Turbo mk 4

Hey guys i have a mk 4 2L rally and i was keen to turbo it, just thinking that becoz its a 2L it would have more power than the gti as they are all 1.8L... i know it would need alot of work done for it to be worth it and for it to all run properly, just wandering if anyone has any sujestions, and if it would just be easier to put a gti motor in it.. any advice would be great! reason i want to do it is becoz i havent seen it done before and think it would be cool to have something a little unique.. cheers!

Jump on VWvortex. In the aussie section there is a guy named "Erotas". PM him and he has all the info (did the same thing on an SE I believe).

I reckon it'd be better to put a GTI engine in. Cost woulld probs be roughly the same, and then you'd have a factory setup, ie factory reliability etc.

(or just sell your SE, and buy a GTI!. this has been discussed a few times recently in the mk 4 section, if you do some quick searching i'm sure you'll find it )

without massive money the 2lt is hard to get power from. But if you have the coin i say good for it as it'll be good to see!
As Jarred said, upgrade the engine from word go is your best bet...

just cos you're starting with slightly more engine capacity, does not mean you will get more power
