Bumper looks sweet with no number plate. Other then where you have it now, what are your other thoughts on placement?
How much did the bumper respray cost? other then it looking awesome in the pics, does it have the 'orange ripple' like the stock paint up close?

Nice work mate looks lovely, I like the plate location and there seems to be a few from the states running it in the same place so hopefully it wont effect cooling thta much. Who did the respray for you?

    Cheers Al

My thoughts on the plate are to either double sided tape it on sort of where the plate used to go but of course without the holder as per what Balkanac has done. I'm not real keen on this at all.

My other idea was to get a reflective sticker made up to put in that place also. This however is not quite legal and could mean I end up with a nasty fine and loss of some license points. If I do it properly though I'd have to get pulled over by a copper in a real nasty mood or being doing something else for them to target me in the first place.

As for the paint, it's the exact same paint, so it has the powdered pearl in it like the rest of the car, it's pretty a much an exact match but from some angles in the right light you can tell it's been resprayed. For the record the powdered pearl colours are damn expensive to buy. Talking to my panel beater he was saying that compared to "normal" paints, Deep Blue Pearl is nearly three times more expensive.

As for price I'd rather not say. If you're really desperate to know shoot me a PM. See my comments below.

Thanks Al. Yeah I went for a quick drive tonight and the temperature went to normal and didn't budge. I suppose with the weather the way it is now it probably won't be until the warmer months when I find out if it causes a problem or not.

My panel beater is a guy near my place who actually leases the last space off of another panel beater (go figure). He relies pretty much on word of mouth etc for his business. A mate from school put me onto him a few years back when my old magna got a prang on it. I think he found out about him from his brother, it's that kind of thing.
He does mainly old classic type stuff like old Holdens and other muscle cars. He has a nice little collection of old school muscle cars as well.

    Cheers,
    Trent

If I had more room in my signature, I'd quote that.

Looking very classy Trent, good job on pulling it all apart too. I'd imagine the nuts bolts and screws would have been a pain to put back together.

Do you think you'll ever take the car to Queensland Raceway or Lakeside?

Have to admit the bumper looks very nice .... very smooth .... the way it should have been from the factory .... but .... and this is just my opinion .... the plate makes it look like its got bugs bunny teeth.
I'd have to say maybe go for the reflective sticker (if you're game enough !!)
Looks nice though ...... might have to have a look into getting mine done now
