Mate, if you want it to sound awesome, and i really mean awesome, just disable the flap yourself!! It will take you 10 min.
The thing is under the rear bumper next to the left wheel. There is a little hose going to the body of it. All i did was i disconnected the hose! Make sure you block the hose and the pump so dirt doesn't get in. I'll take a few photos if you want. The best thing about this is that if you dont like it you can put it back to stock!

    Hey,
Yeah I've thought about doing that mod. I've also seen that you can just clamp the hose off and it will do the same thing. However I don't know if i can handle the noise all the time. It's nice to be able to just drop a gear or two (or three) and have that wonderful sound. (Did I really just say that? I must be the oldest 24 year old ever).
Oh yeah I also burnt my arm on my exhaust during the break showing a mate the exhaust hose. :p
    Cheers,
    Trent

Well as I said in the other thread the Phillips BlueVision bulbs have gone in. Can't say there's much of a difference. The light is a little whiter but not a huge difference.

The install of the BlueVision bulbs was a royal pain in the ass. I had to remove the battery of the on the passenger side to be able to move the Xenon ballast enough to allow my fingers/hands space to get the bulb out.
On the drivers side I had to unscrew the reservoir bottle and lift it out to allow me to unscrew the washer bottle and move it back a cm to allow enough room to move the ballast on this side and get my fingers in. Pictures shown below.

    Passenger Side:

Drivers Side (bulb holder not shown):

Passenger Side reservoir bottle removed and washer bottle.

Be sure when removing the nut that holds the washer bottle in place that you drop it down into the engine bay so you have to get your needle nose pliers and scrape your hands some more. You can never scrape your hands enough.

Yeah if you want more blue you probably want to get the led lights. You can get them in all different colours. Just remember if they don't work when you install them, flip around as you've got the polarity wrong.
Note that the wedge tailed bulbs that go in the other MKIVs and the normal bayonet bulbs were much bluer than the bulbs that fit my car (they're also a hell of a lot cheaper than mine as well).
